Products That Grew My Natural Hair Long in 2021

Olive Oil For Pre-Poo in Natural Hair Routine

Olive oil has so many benefits for natural hair. It contains anti-inflammatory, prevents dandruff and had antioxidants that important for hair growth. The main reason I use olive oil in my pre-poo is to coat my hair with a layer of moisture before I go in with traditional shampoo. Shampoo tends to strip the hair of its natural oils. Coating your hair with olive oil will prevent the stripping of your natural oils. I make sure that I implement this in my natural hair routine before every wash. This is one of my main tips for growing hair long and fast!

OHH how I cannot live without my handy steamer. Steaming the natural hair lifts the hair cuticle so that products can get into the hair stands and penetrate the hair.  I use this steamer in my natural hair routine after putting in the olive-oil for my pre-poo. I sit under the dryer for at least 15 to 30 mins. After the hair steaming treatment, my hair feels soft and moisturized. Skipping this step in your natural hair routine is a NO-NO! You want to make sure the products you will be putting in your hair in the next steps are as beneficial as possible. There are so many hair steamers you can get. I have included a link to the product I used below.

PLEASE READ! This is the only product I use that is not natural. I do recommend using this product before you shampoo your natural hair, that way when you go into shampoo. This product contains ingredients that can damage the hair if not washed out. However, I do love this product because it is the only conditioner I found that can detangle my natural hair. Aussie Moist gives my natural hair enough slip to get through the detangling process easy and fast. I have not found an all-natural conditioner that gives my hair as much slip like this one. If you know of any please let me know below. The main thing you need to take from this reading is to detangle your hair. You do not want to skip detangling your hair and remember as I stated in my video, detangle in sections.

These are two of the products I use when washing and conditioning my hair. I use the shampoo first and then the conditioner. You simply just need to follow the directions on the back of the bottle. I love this line for my natural hair routine because it gives me so much moisture that I can feel. I don't use anything that strips the natural oils from my hair. This is a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo really lathers up and cleanses your natural hair while moisturizing the hair as well.

Apple cider vinegar in the natural true me hair routine

I love me some ACV!! This product is used for so many things and has so many benefits. The main reason I'm listing this product is that I specifically use this product to grow my natural hair long and healthy. Over time products build up onto the hair and a traditional shampoo is not going to be able to lift the dirt and oil from the hair strands. In this case, Apple Cider Vinegar is your best friend.

Shea moisture deep continuing intensive hair mask

(Shea Moisture Intensive Hydration Hair Masque) Before I go in with my deep conditioner I like to make sure my hair is separated into sections. I then go in with a generous amount of deep conditioner in subsections. I like to use lots of deep conditioners because of the thickness of my hair. After I distribute the product throughout my hair I again sit under my steamer. This is a tip I forgot to mention in my youtube video. This product leaves my hair feeling so soft and leaves, my curls looking renewed and juicy. IMPORTANT: Rinse the deep conditioner out with cold water. I explain more about this in my video.

Leave in is my regular conditioner the shea moisture. Natural Hair

You may be wondering why you see a huge question mark. This is because what is a good leave-in conditioner for natural hair that won't do the same as a regular natural conditioner. A lot goes into developing a natural hair routine and I like to keep very simple and affordable, so why buy two different products when you can get the same benefits from one? When I first started natural hair routine I always wondered why my hair would feel dry after a short amount of time. If you too are having this problem in your natural hair routine you need to used a leave-in conditioner because you want to moisture in layers and a leave-in conditioner is one of those layers you really need.

Creamer to lock in that moisture. Moisturize in layers

(Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothy) Use a creamer to provide another layer of moisture to your hair. This is going to further seal in the moisture from the previous steps in your natural hair routine.

Oil olive oil for natural hair develop natural hair routine

The last step in the was day routine is to use an oil to seal in all that moisture. The oil is going to seal and lock that moisture you put in your hair. I use olive oil to seal my hair because I already use it in step one and olive oil is very beneficial to the hair as stated before. Locking and sealing the hair is a vital step in my natural hair routine and you will lose moisture fast without this step.

Protective styles the natural true me use in natural hair routine develop hair routine

After you have completed all the steps above now it is time to protect your hair with a natural hairstyle. I have included a few that I love but there are many more you can wear. The main thing to remember when wearing a protective style is that you need to tuck in and cover your ends.
